Boys, the heat is turning up as the end of the year approaches.
While we have plenty of time together until the end of the school year, we’re much closer to the end than we had been. I’m writing this on Sunday, March 22, and the weather was absolutely phenomenal today.
Whoever is reading this is presumably seeing this on a new day, and because this weather is completely irrational this month, you could be reading this at a very unideal time for me to make this suggestion, but now is the time to be outside with the boys. Today I spent three hours playing basketball with my friends, and compared to the past Sundays I’ve had this year, this has been the best one.
I didn’t spend my entire day rotting, watching TikTok and occasionally switching to Instagram Reels.
The reason is simply that I didn’t spend my entire day rotting, watching TikTok and occasionally switching to Instagram Reels. While I undoubtedly did spend time indulging in Reels/TikTok, I spent much more time with my friends and family doing things outside.
The time that I spent today on my phone has been the lowest part of my day, and I think there’s a lot to be said for that. If you’re reading The Index instead of scrolling through your phone, you’re in a good spot right now.
Continue reading, go outside, get some sun, and enjoy life.
