Gentleman,
While EA Day is just around the corner and we begin to engage in festivities, competition, and fun, we must remember that we are fortunate to have community events like this. In the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, we encourage all of you to participate in the community service aspects of school life in addition to the athletic and school-spirit competitions.
Take the time out of your day to bring in cans for our EA Week drive. Reflect on the great impact you could have on the lives of somebody less fortunate by just stopping at the supermarket on your way to school and picking up a few cases of cans. Additionally, our water polo and swimming/diving teams are leading the frozen turkey drive. On Monday, November 22, bring in a turkey to help us exceed our goal of 100 frozen turkeys. Buying just one turkey can give a family in need a Thanksgiving meal when they otherwise would not be able to have one.
If you would prefer to help out in person, show out to the next Peanut Butter and Jelly Club on Sunday, November 14, at the Agnes Irwin School. Bring a friend to help pack bagged lunches for Project HOME to distribute in their outreach program to the homeless.
